Because Now I'm So Lazy That I Just Blog Conversations

Mark: Do you ever think about going to medical school?
Me: What? No.
Mark: Oh, okay.
Me: Well. Maybe once or twice.
Mark: I knew it.
Me: I have to remember that it's not like Scrubs.
[I should mention that we're on my couch watching a Scrubs marathon.]
Mark: Or Grey's Anatomy.
Me: It's not like Grey's Anatomy? Forget it then.
Mark: Maybe it's a little like Grey's Anatomy.
Me: It's funny, actually, I was just talking to Melissa about wanting to be a doctor. Then two seconds later I missed my stop on the train.
Mark: Ha.
Me: But I was saying that I think I'm only interested because I could wear scrubs to work.
Mark: Yeah, really.
Me: No, really. That might be the deciding factor.
Mark: [looks at me]
Me: They're like pajamas! That you can wear all day!

I would never underestimate the importance of getting to wear comfortable clothes to work. Seriously, probably the biggest issue for me if I finally get myself a new job is I'd need to buy a whole new wardrobe, because NO other office is as casual as where I work now.

I'm right there with you, Stefanie.

I wear t-shirts, jeans and flip-flops to work.

They actually throw a parade for me when I wear things like skirts or high heeled shoes.

On winter time we wear slippers and yes, we have come to work in our pajamas.

I love my job.

PJs all day. Every Day. Sounds pretty nice.

As a nurse I can say that wearing scrubs to work is a definite plus.
The downside is you never really know anyone you work with. You would be suprised how much you can tell about a person by the clothes they wear.
Sometimes I will meet someone outside of work and they will be wearing a totally suprising outfit. Hot pink capri pants and a tube top. You think to yourself. I never would have pictured that guy dressing this way.

I think that's the only thing I love about my job. Right now, I'm wearing flip-flops. Tomorrow, I'm thinking sweatpants and a t-shirt.

Hee I love the idea of running into any guy wearing capris and a tube top.

Oh, pajamas all day long would be sheer heaven. Did you hear that there's some movement to get nurses back into 'less comfy' work clothes? Apparently, there's a group of people who think it's too difficult to tell the orderlies, custodians, and nurses apart. Puh-leeze.
