Bunnicula

My mom made Easter baskets for her godchildren across the street, customized for each kid with stuff like candy, crossword puzzles, games, and a plastic lizard that grows to three feet long once it's put in water. Which is actually kind of terrifying when you think about it.

She made one for me, too: lip gloss, Kiss My Face products, mints, Band-aids, a gift card for a couple pedicures, and a bottle of Simi chardonnay. Somebunny knows me pretty well, I'd say.

Hope you all had a good weekend, or as strangers say to one another in the religiously diverse city that I work in: Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

This was the first year since I moved away from home that my mother has not sent me an Easter basket package. Even when I get one, though, it never includes wine or lip gloss. Your mom is obviously cooler than my mom.

That dinner sounds awesome. Alas, Minneapolis is too far away for me to come crash.

I loved the Bunnicula books when I was a kid. They combined my two favorite things at the time: furry animals and horror stories.

I got a "Happy Easter" from a Verizon operator yesterday. I kind of mumbled a "Happy (indecipherable)..." back at her.

Wow, your Mom rocks! My 5-year old son asked me yesterday if I got any Easter presents, and to my horror I had to reply 'no' and then mumbled under my breath that being a grown-up sucked!! I vow to be a cool Mom like yours...even when my kids are 27 like I am now, they're going to get kick-ass Easter baskets!!
